At the current rate of usage, the Coastal Bend is projected to not have enough water to service its customer's needs by 2027.

Using that projection, the City of Corpus Christi has released a drought contingency plan that will require restricted use of water by November of 2026 — by about 25% per customer.

Businesses large and small must plan for this possibility.

In order for businesses to plan, there MUST be comprehensive planning by city leadership to mitigate the effects of water curtailment.

New water sources MUST be pursued without delay.

Businesses MUST be told how they will be affected.

Federal, state, and local resources MUST be identified and pursued to lessen the impact.
